Developing Your Personal Photographic Vision
Location: Madeline Island School of the Arts | Madeline Island, Wisconsin
Dates: August 24-28, 2020
Learn to see more deeply—to look at the landscape in new ways, notice details that others miss, observe with all your senses, and discover your own unique way of photographing the world around you.
Our base for this workshop is beautiful Madeline Island—one of the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior. You’ll explore cliffs, beaches, sea caves, forests, rivers and more to capture a sense of place, learn how to compose for greater impact, and refine your visual sensibilities. Each day will include a field trip, classroom discussions and an image review.
Students should already be familiar with the equipment they bring. This is a workshop about seeing and composing. I can help with technical questions that come up, but there will not be time for teaching camera basics or image-processing software.
