In October, I had the pleasure of spending a few days along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, exploring a 30-mile section just south of the Virginia state line. All of the historic stone walls in this section (dating back to the original construction of the parkway) had been either rehabilitated or reconstructed under the guidance of The Jaeger Company, a landscape architecture and historic preservation firm based in Gainesville, Georgia. My assignment was to photograph these walls. Admittedly, not a bad assignment.
Anyhow, I loved that The Jaeger Company used one of the images I shot on their holiday cards, and thought the image of the postmarked 10-cent stamp commemorating the Parkway was a nice touch!
