Photographing Gardens/Maine Media Workshops  (June 13-16, 2012)

Rockport, Maine, is a magical setting for any workshop, and it is also home to the Maine Media Workshops, which has offered photography workshops for more than 35 years. It will serve as our base for exploring beautiful public and private gardens--a mix of charming cottage gardens, classic estate gardens, and traditional English-style gardens with clipped hedges and lush perennial borders.

We'll spend most of our time in the field--so come prepared to shoot early and shoot late. During the heat of the day, we'll review our work in critique sessions, talk visual design, and address your questions about assembling a portfolio, developing your photographic style and promoting your work. We'll also spend a day in the studio photographing flowers up close.
