Boone and I made progress today. I'm beginning to realize that if I just say, "Would you like a cookie?," he'll follow me anywhere, even if I'm on crutches. He's remains a bit cautious, but is otherwise fine. Besides, he would need a serious bath before paying a visit on Mazie! I believe the swelling has stopped spreading and may have even subsided a bit today. I can sort of wiggle my toes, anyhow. Between Alan and a good friend who is stopping by daily to check on me and take Boone for a stroll, I appear to be in good hands. Should something come up, I will let you know. Thank you so much for your kindness. That means a lot to me.

Lee Anne White comments on What I Didn't See Coming

Jody, what a treat to hear from you! I love the idea of lunch, so let's set something up. As for walking the dog at night around your place, real shoes and a flashlight would probably be a good idea. You just never know. Copperheads are especially common around ponds, and I know you have one. See you soon! I've been trying to decide what might be helpful to you. I know you'd miss him terribly. but do you think it would help if we kept Boone for a couple of weeks? I know Mazie would love having him visit and we could bring him to visit his home on days that you felt like it.

Other than that, please let me know if you have any ideas of ways you could use some help. Food? Shopping, errands? Laundry?

Just let me know!

Karen

Jody Stage comments on What I Didn't See Coming

Wow Lee Anne don't you know how to have a unusual and interesting week. Gives me even more reason to be careful around my place for snakes. Like you I walk the dog in the dark frequently - all around the yard, the pasture and out by the pond. So sorry you are having to deal w/this but love your attitude of just taking things as they are - slowing down and reflecting and reconnecting. Let me know if you'd like to see a yoga friend for lunch - could easily pick up something and bring it to your house almost any day next week that would suit you. Take care - heal quickly. Did you come up with them yourself? The contrast of your pools vs the trees in the background creates an absolutely stunning setting, especially that dusk picture. I wish I could have a beautiful home like that!

Mandy Sheppard comments on Moving Beyond My Comfort Zone

I am so happy for you that you stepped outside of your comfort zone and photographed people.
